Is there a better way to celebrate the summer solstice than drinking craft cocktails on the patio of one of your favorite restaurants surrounded by good company? We can’t think of one.
We don’t often host events, but when we do it usually includes telling a story of innovation and craft. When Canon owner, Clay, approached us to host the launch of the new cocktail program, we jumped at the opportunity to share our passion for craft cocktails, community, and innovation in the food/bev industry. Creating an experience and providing education along with each cocktail were a few main goals of the evening. Canon’s Bar Director, Jack Winks, developed the new drink menu to challenge the traditional spirit-focused cocktail program, instead highlighting herbs, spices, and fruit. Featured cocktails included Coconut/Eucalyptus, Blueberry/Anise-Hyssop, and Pistachio/Peach. One of our favorites was the Blueberry Anise-Hyssop, which boasts flavors that are fruity, floral, and complex. We will definitely be back to taste a few more off the new menu!
