Digital Marketing Coordinator

Your Role

The Digital Marketing Coordinator supports the strategy and continued growth for both Honey’s clients and our own brand. You understand the always-evolving nature of the digital and social media landscape–from platforms and trends–and have a passion for planning how brands can stand out and connect with audiences. You have an amazing ability to develop and manage content, and nerd out on data and analytics. You are a hard-working, multi-tasking, problem solver that pays close attention to the details knowing they make all the difference. You consider yourself a creative strategist and have a major appreciation for beautiful design and the industries we work within. Most importantly, you are dedicated to the team, community, and clients you interact with, and align with Honey’s core values and commitments to being an anti-racist company.

This is an in-office position in our new building in Midtown, Sacramento. Honey is currently working a hybrid model, with two days remote-optional. Can we get a high five for more human collaboration?!

Responsibilities

  • Lead designated client projects and assignments in collaboration with marketing, and design teams, and outside vendors, in accordance with Honey processes.
  • Facilitate the completion of project scope of work, including management of deliverables, reporting, and clear communication both internally and with clients; maintain project schedules in coordination with Honey team
  • Coordinate discovery and research process of client projects, including research and analysis, in collaboration with marketing and design teams
  • Content development (including planning and copywriting) for both Honey and client projects in collaboration with Honey’s marketing and design teams; manage the execution of approved content (social media, email, website, etc.)
  • Planning and management of digital advertising campaigns (social media, Google, etc.)
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance of content and advertising of Honey and client projects (Google Analytics, social media, email, etc.); preparation of reports and development of recommendations for improvement where needed
  • Lead website maintenance services–including the tracking and management of client requests with Honey team and/or contracted vendors, recommendations to improve user experience, and preparing internal and client-facing reports on website performance
  • Collaborate with marketing team members by participating in brainstorms, providing/receiving feedback, etc.; stay informed on trends and data as they relate to Honey’s niche industries and services (especially consumer, social media, advertising, etc.), sharing with the team as insights and inspiration
  • Assist Honey’s internal operations, including the execution of in-house marketing efforts (i.e. social media, blog, website content, newsletter, event, email, etc.)
  • Review and proof copy, grammar, and spelling of client and Honey materials, ensuring a consistent voice for each brand
  • Embody Honey’s core values and commitments to be an anti-racist company in the development of work and interactions with team, clients, and the broader community

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of marketing, communications, or equivalent professional experience. Degree in marketing, communications, or a comparable field is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of fundamental marketing principles and trends
  • Proficiency in marketing and digital platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Analytics/Ads, Mailchimp, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.; understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Wine Direct, etc.,) a plus
  • General knowledge in Honey’s niche industries of food, beverage, agriculture, and cannabis
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment independently and with a team, while maintaining the highest quality of work
  • Strong written skills (grammar, spelling, etc.) to communicate with clients and team, and develop content; ability to present ideas and strategic approaches clearly to communicate and present ideas, work, and analysis to the internal team and clients
  • Willingness to collaborate with the Honey team and client, providing input and accepting constructive feedback
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize a variety of work assignments and deadlines efficiently
  • Quick learner, open-minded, and inspired to grow within a small team
  • Keen attention to detail
