Honey is a design and marketing studio working in food, beverage, and agriculture. Women-led, we are a team of down-to-earth, hardworking, problem-solvers who believe our craft is fueled best by an intentional process and strategy. Our work ranges from branding and packaging, to strategic marketing campaigns. We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join the Honey team.

As Marketing Coordinator, you support the continued growth of both Honey’s clients and our own brand by planning and executing strategy, and coordinating with fellow team members to create solutions. Most importantly, you are dedicated to the team, community and clients you interact with, and align with Honey’s core values and commitments to being an anti-racist company.

This position is a hybrid (in-office and remote) work schedule. Honey’s offices are located in Sacramento, CA.

Your Role

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned client projects, and development and execution of brand, marketing, campaign, website, and packaging strategies in collaboration with marketing and design teams, and outside vendors, in accordance with Honey processes. Provide support to select high-profile client projects by managing designated scopes of work
  • Facilitate the completion of project scopes of work, including management of deliverables, reporting, and clear communication both internally and with clients; maintain project schedules in coordination with the Honey team
  • Plan and execute marketing efforts for brands, including but not limited to social media, email, photography/videography, blog articles, case studies, website and marketing materials; coordinate execution with Honey team members
  • Coordinate discovery and research process of client projects, including research and analysis, in collaboration with marketing and design teams
  • Collaborate with marketing team members by participating in brainstorms, providing/receiving feedback, etc.; stay informed on trends and data as they relate to Honey’s niche industries and services, sharing with the team as insights and inspiration
  • Work with Honey team to ensure successful project kick-offs and wrap-ups both internally and with clients by documenting project insights; monitor and report on the performance of active projects, identifying opportunities for improvement to propose to project team, Strategy Director and Creative Director
  • Effectively present and communicate work approach and recommendations to team, clients, and project partners
  • Review and proof copy, grammar, and spelling of client and Honey materials, ensuring a consistent voice for each brand
  • Embody Honey’s core values and commitments to be an anti-racist company in the development of work and interactions with the team, clients, and the broader community

Experience

  • 3+ years of marketing, communications, or equivalent professional experience
  • Degree in marketing, communications, or a comparable field is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of fundamental marketing principles and trends
  • Proficiency in marketing and digital platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Analytics/Ads, Mailchimp, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.; understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Wine Direct, etc.,) is a plus
  • General knowledge in Honey’s niche industries of food, beverage and agriculture, including wine
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced environment independently and with a team, while maintaining the highest quality of work

Skills and Expertise

  • Strong written skills (grammar, spelling, etc.) to communicate with clients and team, and develop content; ability to present ideas and strategic approaches clearly to communicate and present ideas, work, and analysis to the internal team and clients
  • Willingness to collaborate with the Honey team and client, providing input and accepting constructive feedback
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize a variety of work assignments and deadlines efficiently
  • Quick learner, open-minded, and inspired to grow within a small team
  • Keen attention to detail
