Your Role

Honey is looking for a Resource Manager to serve as a logistic leader for our studio. You’re extremely detail oriented, can expertly navigate various projects, schedules, and new client relationships – you never miss a beat! You have a working knowledge of creative studio processes and are confident and comfortable collaborating with leadership, teams, vendors, and potential clients. You are a multitasker and seamlessly navigate the studio’s project schedules, client deliverables, and presentations across both marketing and design teams – you keep shit in line! In addition to managing schedules and calendars, you’re a workflow guru and keep an eye out for opportunities for improvement and efficiency. Most importantly, you are dedicated to the team, community and clients you interact with, and align with Honey’s core values and commitments to being an anti-racist company.

This is an in-office position in our new building in Midtown, Sacramento. Honey is currently working a hybrid model, with two days remote-optional. Can we get a high five for more human collaboration?!

Responsibilities

Studio Workflow: Planning, Coordination & Assessment
  • Work with Honey Leadership (CEO, Account Director, Creative Director, Operations + Culture Manager) to plan and develop timelines for business development opportunities based on Honey’s goals and team capacity
  • Be the active liaison between the business development contracting phase and project kick-offs. Includes coordination of project kick-off meetings and preparation of project briefs in collaboration with CEO, Account Director and Creative Director
  • Assist Account Director and Creative Director in the formation of project teams by reporting on individual capacity
  • Lead the development and management of active project timelines and team schedules in coordination with project teams and with approval from Account Director and Creative Director to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with project team to facilitate scheduling of new requests, adjustments of scope of work, and ensuring the progress and completion of deliverables
  • Keep Account Director and Creative Director up to date on project flow and identify any obstacles, issues or opportunities
  • Track and traffic projects as they flow through the marketing and design departments and through the approval process to help assess that contracted scope of work completed in a manner and cadence as originally planned
  • In coordination with Honey Leadership and team, lead and facilitate internal processes to monitor project capacity in order to inform processes, financials, and business development efforts
  • Assess Honey processes, workflow, individual and team capacities; report to Leadership on insights (bandwidth challenges, capacity for new projects, etc.) and identify opportunities for improvement to project workflows with recommended adjustments to Account Director and Creative Direction on processes or implementation of new tools/technologies
  • During project kick-offs, set all recurring internal and external meetings, as well as larger project milestones, by sending calendar invitations and assigning the correct attendees
  • Maintain the integrity of Honey’s processes and ensure that the team is staying on track/projects are flowing properly and being billed properly
  • Support in various financial and business development tasks as identified by manager and Leadership team
Team Contributions
  • Provide feedback to the team when needed, as it relates to project timelines, execution of deadlines, workflow efficiencies 
  • Collaborate with marketing, design and development teams to share workflow trends/insights and help ensure all client work executed is aligned with project timelines and deliverables
  • Collaborate with Operations + Culture Manager to incorporate company culture related activities/milestones throughout the schedule
  • Always serve as eyes and ears on culture and the well-being of the Honey team through the lens of active projects, ensuring Honey’s core values remains the north star while leading logistics for the team, always contending for healthy bandwidth, capacity, and workload

Skills and Expertise

  • Effective organizational skills, multi-tasking, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Standout communication skills
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Understanding of creative development and timelines 
  • Ability to manage a report of schedules and projects 
  • Highly proficient in digital platforms (Google Suite, scheduling software, time tracking, project management systems, and any other life changing platforms) 
  • Appreciation for good design

Experience

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in business or a comparable field is preferable
  • Approximately 5-7+ years of related industry experience, preferably resource or traffic experience at an agency or client company
  • Prior experience working with various teams, including design, development or marketing 
  • Demonstrated track record of complex schedule management
